Like most people, you may be concerned about being "normal." However, "normal" is not narrowly defined. It covers a wide range of behavior, thoughts and emotions.
Some people may have behavior at one end of a normal spectrum. If you are at the other end of the spectrum, you may mistakenly brand these people as "crazy" or "weird." Likewise, they may do the same to you.
However, if you knew more about them — what led to their behavior — they may not seem so crazy after all. Psychology is a science that tries to find the reasons behind the behavior of people — people like you and me.
If you want to know more about me and why I teach psychology, go to Dr. Dave.
If you are interested in my SuperShopper articles, go to "A Line on Life". There are 424 short articles on an assortment of psychological topics.
Since I am now retired, I no longer teach courses. However, if you want to know what my courses were like, go to Introduction to Psychology 101 or Human Sexuality 170. You can find practice tests and exercises for the Strong et al. Human Sexuality text online.
If you want to have more information about topics covered by these courses, you can get more information from the American Psychological Association, the American Psychological Society and SIECUS (Sex Information and Education Council of the United States).Created by David A. Gershaw, Ph.D.
